Overview:
Immunizations are a critical piece in protecting the public from diseases. There are many challenges that come along with offering immunizations, so this program will discuss ways to overcome challenges such reimbursement, staffing, inventory management, and communication with other providers. It is imperative for all of those who work in the pharmacy to understand how to properly screen patients to determine which vaccinations are necessary. This program will discuss the importance of recommending these vaccinations to increase immunization rates. Finally, we will work through patient cases to apply information learned throughout the program.
