Jianguo Cheng, MD, Ph.D., FIPP, is Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, and Director of the Cleveland Clinic Pain Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Cheng also serves as Chairman of the USA Section of World Institute of Pain, and Member of the Cleveland Clinic Anesthesiology Institute and Lerner Research Institute. He received his MD from Qingdao University Medical College, China, and Ph.D. from University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.

His clinical expertise and research interests include the mechanisms and therapeutic strategies of chronic pain, spinal cord physiology of sensory-motor integration, and clinical application of neuromodulation. Dr. Cheng has authored more than 90 research papers, reviews, and book chapters, and has received more than 30 honors and awards from institutions, societies, and government agencies. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio.
