Course Description:
GEST was conceptualized in 2005, formed in 2007, and is the premier embolotherapy device to interventional radiologists globally. GEST continuing medical education activities cover a world-renowned Annual Meeting with planned events held across the world.

As embolization treatment options continue to be extensive worldwide, our goal is to expand continuous education activities throughout the year.

What are the objectives of the 14th Annual Global Embolization Symposium & Technologies (GEST) 2020  CME webcast?

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
• Review the latest therapeutic opportunities using embolization for interventional oncology, lymphatic interventions, musculoskeletal (MSK) applications, trauma, bariatric, hemorrhoid-related bleeding, pelvic congestion syndrome (PCS), varicocele, visceral aneurysms, endoleak, portal interventions, renal interventions, vascular malformations, trauma, critical care, women’s health, and men’s health
• Estimate standard and advanced imaging methods for the various embolotherapy applications
• Distinguish embolic and embolization alternatives and understand the variations in function, characteristics, and potential outcomes
• Discover embolotherapy treatment vs other treatment options based on the latest evidence, established patient care standards and multidisciplinary approaches
• Describe anatomy, indications, contraindications, patient planning, and potential complications for embolization and interventional procedures
• Form multidisciplinary treatment claims for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and the role of prostate artery embolization (PAE) with the latest techniques.
• Describe the details of artificial intelligence (AI) and/ or augmented reality (AR) with relation to assisting in embolization and interventional procedures.
• Explain the role of immuno-oncology in relation to interventional oncology and other oncology specialties
