Keith M. Sterling MD

Keith M. Sterling, MD is a Board Certified physician specialized in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Sterling serves as Director of the Department of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at Inova Alexandria Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology where he serves as a national spokesperson and recently served on the Board of Directors of the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). He has been the principal investigator on numerous research trials and has served on multiple professional committees and task forces.

Dr. Sterling has been consistently recognized by his peers as a “Top Doctor” in Washingtonian and Northern Virginia magazines. He treats a wide variety of medical conditions and diseases with minimally invasive techniques, reducing risk, pain and recovery time for his patients. As the first physician in the metropolitan area to perform non-surgical vein ablation for the treatment of varicose veins, he has performed thousands of procedures. He and his colleagues in the Department of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology have served the Fairfax and Prince William County communities since 1970, making innovative new technologies available to physicians and patients.
