Pediatric Therapists will enjoy this course as it will review principles of positive behavior supports and special challenges for therapists working in pediatric settings. Strategies for implementing and documenting positive behavior supports within therapy sessions as well as the contexts of home and school will be presented. Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to relate principles of positive behavior support and applied behavior analysis to pediatric therapy. Learn how to identify specific strategies and positive behavior supports for success within therapy interventions. The course will also provide Evaluate effectiveness and carry over of established positive behavior supports in school, at home, and in the community.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:

  1. Relate principles of positive behavior support and applied behavior analysis to pediatric therapy.
  2. Identify specific strategies and positive behavior supports for success within therapy interventions toward improved play and learning behavior.
  3. Evaluate effectiveness and carry over of established positive behavior supports in school, at home, and in the community.
Credits

Format: This is a 3-contact hour course equivalent to 3 CEU’s or 0.3 CEUs offered as a live webinar or self-study. For Live courses, the content is presented via an internet website displaying real time power points. Learners will receive a course instruction link. Instructors lecture through livestreaming internet on your computer. Questions may be asked during the webinar using the chat feature or the “raise hand” feature for live discussion. For Recorded courses, learners will not be able to participate in real time with questions.
