4th Annual Mid-Atlantic Neurocritical Care Symposium is organized by VCU Health Continuing Education and will be held from May 14 - 15, 2026 at Larrick Student Center, Richmond, Virginia, United States of America.
Overview:
The Fourth Mid-Atlantic Neurocritical Care Symposium will highlight evidence-based practices and emerging innovations in prehospital triage, resuscitation, transport, and critical care management of patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, acute ischemic stroke, status epilepticus, hepatic encephalopathy, and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Through expert lectures, debates, and interactive exchange, participants will gain insights into optimizing neurologic outcomes across diverse clinical scenarios and care settings.
Objectives
- Review pre-hospital systems of care for patients with critical neurologic injury
- Identify key management goals in acute traumatic brain injury, acute ischemic stroke, and intracranial hemorrhage
- Examine controversies in adjunctive therapies for acute neurologic emergencies
