Usaamah Khan MD

Dr. Usaamah M. Khan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and a neurocritical care physician at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health. He specializes in neurology and neurocritical care, providing expert evaluation and treatment for patients with serious neurological conditions. Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his internship and neurology residency training at the VCU School of Medicine. After residency, he pursued advanced fellowship training in neurocritical care at Massachusetts General Hospital—one of the leading academic medical centers in the United States.

At VCU Health, Dr. Khan is involved in both clinical care and academic teaching. He manages patients with severe neurological illnesses, including critical conditions that require intensive care, and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive neurocritical care. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Khan contributes to the academic community through research and education. He has co‑authored peer‑reviewed publications and continues to engage with evolving practices in neurology and critical care medicine.
