Metabolic and Endocrine Disease Summit (MEDS) East is organized by Global Academy For Medical Education and will be held Oct 10 - 13, 2018 at Caribe Royale Orlando, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is NPs, PAs, RNs, CDEs, and other clinicians involved in the diagnosis and management of metabolic and endocrine disorders. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 24.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
This is an interactive course that provides nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) with advanced education on common metabolic and endocrine diseases, empowering them to meet the growing demand for clinicians with this expertise. Physicians are also welcome.
Learning Objectives :
• Accurately assess and diagnose metabolic and endocrine diseases that are increasingly being seen in primary care clinics.
• Develop appropriate intervention strategies for treating selected metabolic and endocrine diseases.
• Describe ways to fill the void created by the national shortage of endocrinologists.
Topics include diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, adrenal disease, osteoporosis, diabetic kidney disease, pituitary disorders, diabetes and pregnancy, diabetic nueropathies, hypercalcemia, and other common endocrine diseases.
MEDS also offers an optional, post-conference Insulin Workshop, 'Essential Nuts and Bolts of Insulin Management', on Saturday afternoon. Additional 3.5 CE/CME Credits available. Space is limited. First come. First served!
