Joyce L. Ross, MSN, CRNP, FNLA, is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Lipid Specialist with concentrated training in preventive cardiology. She currently serves as an At Large Board Member for the Foundation of the National Lipid Association (NLA). She completed her undergraduate and graduate work at Gwynedd Mercy University, Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, where she graduated cum laude. She holds two Master’ Degrees: Clinical Specialist with subspecialties in Gerontology and Administration, and Adult Nurse Practitioner. 

Joyce L. Ross has received accreditation as a Clinical Lipid Specialist from The Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology. Her clinical affiliation is with the University of Pennsylvania Health System in West Chester. She is an independent clinical consultant on cardiovascular risk intervention and education. Ms. Ross has been active in clinical research and has been both a clinical coordinator and a sub-investigator on several cardiovascular risk-reduction trials for lipids and other aspects of risk reduction. 

Joyce L. Ross has served as a past board member, Past President, and a fellow of The Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association; as a founding board member and secretary of The Familial Hypercholesterolemia Foundation; and as Past President, board member, and a fellow of the NLA, where she sits on several committees, as well as Past President of the Northeast Lipid Association. Ms. Ross is published in the fields of preventive cardiology; identification, assessment, and treatment of cardiovascular risks; and all aspects of lipidology. She has lectured both nationally and internationally and is frequently a member of advocacy groups.
