Lucia M. Novak MSN, CRNP, ANP-BC, BC-ADM, FAANP

Ms. Lucia M. Novak is President and Founder of Diabesity, LLC, and Board Certified as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner and as an Advanced Diabetes Manager with over 30 years of clinical expertise. Her focus on metabolic health also includes obesity, and she holds the Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine awarded by the Obesity Medicine Association. Her clinical practice includes her role as the Co-Executive Director of the Capital Health and Metabolic Center of Capital Diabetes and Endocrine Associates, LLC, and as a Diabetologist for StabilityHealth. She has extensive experience with therapeutics and technologies developed for the management of diabetes, obesity, and their related complications.

Novak is a renowned national professional speaker and has authored/co-authored many published peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, webinars, podcasts, and continuing education presentations. Her professional leadership activities include positions with several national and local organizations, including the American Diabetes Association, the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland. Her 33 years of nursing include active-duty service as a Commissioned Officer of the United States Army Nurse Corps, and she is most proud of providing the highest quality care to the deserving men and women of the US Military.
