Conference Description:
Advances in gynecologic surgery and women’s health research provide important opportunities to enhance women’s gynecologic health as well as the prevention and treatment of ovarian cancer. New modalities in the management of the disease provide the ability to individualize therapy, accomplish best clinical outcomes, and optimize the patient experience. This course is designed to present the most current information on gynecologic surgery and ovarian cancer with the goal of advancing the gynecologic outcomes, and the prevention and treatment for ovarian cancer.
Conference Objectives are:
• Discuss advances in gynecologic surgery including methods to reduce surgical site infection, length of stay, DVT, and perioperative pain management.
• Present options for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery in the management of the adnexal mass and risk-reducing procedures.
• Present state of the art strategies for the medical and surgical management of primary and recurrent ovarian cancer.
• Evaluate emerging opportunities in clinical trial options, individualized treatment, and enhanced patient experience.
