These include cervical cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, and vulvar cancer. He have many years of experience allow him to offer his patients the most-advanced treatment options possible, such as minimally invasive techniques. His practice is located at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan and MSK Westchester, in West Harrison.
He have been part of the MSK team for more than 18 years, but his connection to and passion for gynecology goes back much further: His mother was an ob-gyn. As a child, he saw the great challenges that illness presented to women, but he also saw how rewarding it could be to help them through the difficult times in their lives. He knew he wanted to follow his mother’s lead.
As part of his medical training, he spent a year in France learning from some of the pioneers of advanced laparoscopic and radical vaginal surgery. One of the procedures that he learned and have since developed expertise in is radical vaginal trachelectomy. This fertility-sparing procedure is intended for women diagnosed with early cervical cancer. He using this background to develop new applications for robotic surgery in the field of gynecologic oncology.
Women who have received a cancer diagnosis, or who are suspected of having cancer, are often most concerned with the end result. When he meet with patients, he encourage them to focus on one step at a time. Whatever challenges may come up, he remind them that we will tackle them together. They have an entire team of experts — nurses, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and others — who want to see them get better, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure that happens.
