5th Asian Conference on Tumor Ablation (ACTA) 2018

5th Asian Conference on Tumor Ablation (ACTA) 2018 is organized by Asian Society of Tumor Ablation (ASTA), Society of Interventional OncoRadiology (SIO), Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR) and will be held from Oct 06 - 07, 2018 at Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Pre-conference workshop will be held on Oct 05, 2018 at SRMC & RI, Porur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Conference Description:
The pre-conference workshop will be conducted on the 5th of October 2018, wherein the participants will have an opportunity to try out various energies used in ablation on bovine liver. Hands-on tumor targeting under ultrasound & CT guidance will be taught on mannequin’s.

The Conference is jointly hosted by the Asian Society of Tumor Ablation (ASTA), The Indian Society of Vascular and International Radiology ( ISVIR ) and the National Society of Interventional Oncoradiology of India (SIO).

We invite all Radiologists interested in the practice of image-guided ablation in oncology from Asian & Non Asian Countries, to this event, so that not only can they benefit from the conference but also share their knowledge and expertise garnered in the Speciality Of Interventional Oncoradiology.

Another focus of this conference would be to introduce young consultants and student radiologists to image-guided treatment of tumors, by teaching and arming them with the knowledge of various energies available and their uses, the congress aims to develop and present Asian consensus by expert committees for the use of tumor ablation, which would be of great value to radiologists in the practice of tumor ablation, and to introduce recent advances in the field.
