Mohammad Sarwar, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Cardiothoracic Imaging Division.
Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Sarwar earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore. He completed his residency in radiology at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York and received advanced training in neuroradiology through a fellowship program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2009, Dr. Sarwar was an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he became Director of the Neuroradiology Division and, later, Director of Neurology and Neurosurgery. He then became an Associate Professor of Neuroradiology at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, before moving to the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, where he was Professor of Radiology and Chief of Neuroradiology. After working as a neuroradiologist at Doctors Hospital in Dallas, Dr. Sarwar was appointed Chief of Radiology at Olean General Hospital in Olean, New York.
