Learning objectives:
• Define key elements in the initial evaluation of pelvic and acetabular fractures.
• Precisely classify the Pelvis and Acetabular fractures and draw the algorithm of management of such injuries effectively.
• Order appropriate radiological and other laboratory investigations required for accurate assessment of these injuries.
• Stabilize poly-traumatised patients with pelvis fractures by applying correlations between clinical evaluations, laboratory investigations and radiological investigations and then processing such information obtained from these investigations through A
• Demonstrate appropriate decision making strategies in Pelvis and Acetabular trauma.
• Decide appropriate surgical approaches for different pelvis and acetabular trauma and sequence them accurately to achieve the goal of such treatment.
• Understand the specific indications and technique for performing internal fixations of such pelvis and actabular injuries.
•Understand the application of various instruments and equipment used to treat such pelvic and acetabular fractures
Be aware of possible complications and how to avoid them and more importantly how to treat them effectively in case of such unfortunate complications.
