Advanced Cervical Bio-Skills: Techniques for Cervicogenic Headache Diagnosis & Management is organized by Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and would be held during Aug 18 - 20, 2017 at Science Care, Inc., Aurora, Colorado, United States of America. This cme conference has been approved with maximum of 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The target audience for this medical event is basically for physicians who perform spine intervention procedures. The Spine Intervention Society strongly advises that members are proficient in the lumbar spine before progressing to cervical techniques and other advanced interventional procedures.
Who May Attend:
Registration is open to Spine Intervention Society members who are board-certified or in the examination process for certification in: Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, or Neurosurgery. Members who are not board-certified, or eligible for certification in these specialties, must have either completed or be currently enrolled in a pain fellowship accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and begin education with SIS with the Lumbar Bio-Skills Lab.
Take the next step in diagnosing and treating your patients with cervicogenic headaches. This new SIS course provides 9 hours of hands-on training at 7 lab stations, allowing you to explore headache-related upper cervical structures on an expertly dissected cadaver. Plus, try your hand at a fluoroscopy/ultrasound hybrid imaging station and sharpen your needle placement in the challenging regions of the upper cervical spine.
Objectives:
• Review and discuss the anatomy of the upper cervical region;
• Evaluate the imaging depiction of the relevant anatomy and correlate while performing each procedure;
• Perform each procedure to become familiar with the proper technique;
• Cite the literature support for the efficacy of the procedures;
• Identify the risks and benefits of each procedure, as well as assessment, prevention, and treatment of potential complications.
