Dr Vittoria Arslan-Carlon is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She spends her time divided between the Operating Theater and the Ophthalmology Clinic. She went to medical School in Padua Italy were she grew up and moved to the US for research and training. She did research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and trained at Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell medical Center.
Her new focus is on pediatric anesthesia research and she has many projects developing at MSKCC. In the last few years her research has been focused on fluid management in the adult population and now she is working on transferring the knowledge on to the pediatric population. During the time in the Ophthalmology Clinic she has been working on developing a study to test the effects of repetitive anesthetic on the developing brain.
