Dr. Robert Baron is a primary care doctor and vice chief of General Internal Medicine at UCSF Medical Center. He has a special interest in treating obesity and is the founder and director of the UCSF Weight Management Program. He also is interested in nutrition and preventive medicine.
Baron earned a master's degree in nutrition at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and a medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He has directed the UCSF Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program since 1989. He is a professor of medicine and associate dean for Continuing Medical Education at UCSF.
