UCSF CME: 46th Annual Advances in Internal Medicine is organized by The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held during Jun 18 - 22, 2018 at UCSF School of Dentistry, San Francisco, California, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is designed for practicing internists, family practitioners, and other primary care health professionals. It is also appropriate for hospitalists who wish to stay current on recent developments in internal medicine beyond the inpatient setting. • Better manage commonly encountered chronic medical problems such as hyperlipidemia, diabetes, osteoporosis, obstructive lung disease, gout, and headaches, as well as acute conditions such as skin and soft tissue infections, diarrhea, and musculoskeletal injuries.
• Bring practice patterns more in line with current evidence and guidelines with respect to atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, chronic kidney disease, anticoagulation management, contraception, and preoperative medical evaluation.
• Manage common problems traditionally treated by specialists, such as heart failure, Hepatitis B & C infections, end-of-life care, rheumatoid arthritis, as well as recognize the indications for referral to a subspecialist.
