Kenneth A. Alexander, MD, Ph.D., is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Central Florida and Chief of the Divisions of Allergy, Immunology, Rheumatology, and Infectious Diseases at Nemours Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Dr. Alexander completed his medical training and earned his doctoral degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. He then completed subspecialty training in pediatric infectious diseases at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he served on the faculty for 10 years. He served as Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Chicago for 9 years before relocating to Nemours Children’s Hospital in 2014.

Dr. Alexander’s clinical interests include the promotion of immunization among underserved communities; he has a research laboratory at which his research team studies human papillomaviruses and the Zika virus.
