Frank Greenway is an endocrinologist and directs the outpatient research at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Pennington Biomedical Research Center is a research campus of Louisiana State University that has a research focus on obesity. Dr. Greenway did his undergraduate work at Stanford University and obtained his medical degree at the University of California at Los Angeles. He did his internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California and is board certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology.

Dr. Greenway had a practice of internal medicine and endocrinology in Marina del Rey California and taught at Harbor-UCLA for 20 years prior to coming to the Pennington Biomedical Research Center where he holds the rank of Professor. Dr. Greenway is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Obesity, has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles, over 30 book chapters, mostly in the field of obesity and holds several patents. He has an interest in developing new treatments for obesity and has been active in clinical trials of candidate pharmaceuticals, dietary herbal supplements, medical foods, and devices.
