OVERVIEW

Pharmacotherapy Options to Optimize Obesity Treatment is organized by Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) and will be held during Apr 10, 2015 - Mar 08, 2018. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 2.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description :
In New Anorectic Drugs in the Pipeline, Dr. Greenway will familiarize learners with the current anorectic medications in late-stage obesity trials, as well as the drugs and drug combinations currently in obesity research trials, to inform learners of future medications and therapeutic targets for obesity drugs.

In Optimizing Obesity Treatment Using Drug Combinations, Dr. Aronne will discuss combination drugs for the treatment of obesity that are currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as well as those currently undergoing clinical investigation. He will also discuss how to optimize obesity treatment by combining drugs currently available.

In spring 2015 Pharmacotherapy Panel Discussion, Drs. Aronne and Greenway will come together to deliberate about the use of pharmacotherapy as a method for obesity treatment and address attendee.

Conference Objectives are:
• Discuss prescribing off-label combination medications, such as lorcaserin-phentermine, pramlintide-phentermine, bupropion-zonisamide phase II, SGLT-2 inhibitor combinations.
• Review drugs that are currently in the development process.
• Review how-to prescribe anti-obesity medications (and combination options) for the treatment of obesity.
• Obtain awareness of the anorectic drugs (and combination options) in current obesity research and clinical trials.
