Welcome to the Austrian Society for Internal and General Intensive Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

Theirsociety was founded as a working group for internal intensive care medicine in Vienna on December 10, 1970, following a resolution by a committee of proponents. The committee of proponents met for the first time on April 23, 1970, under the leadership of Professor Deutsch and subsequently drafted the society's statutes.

Mission:
• The promotion of charitable research work in the field of intensive care medicine
• The training and further education of internist doctors in this special field
• The support of research projects
