Treatment Challenges in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: Pharmacists' Key Role in Ensuring Best Practices is organized by Power-Pak C.E. - Continuing Education for Pharmacists & Pharmacy Technicians and will be held from Sep 28, 2018 - Sep 28, 2019.

Target Audience:
This accredited activity has been designed for pharmacists.

Goal:
To inform oncology, managed care and specialty pharmacists, as well as other pharmacists who interact with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) patients, on (1) approaches to match adult patients and treatment options for relapsed/refractory ALL based upon individual risk and prognostic criteria (2) the role of new and emerging therapies and regimens used to treat adult patients with relapsed/refractory ALL; and (3) pharmacist-driven interventions to reduce the risk of and manage AEs, and drug-drug interactions in patients receiving targeted therapies; thus leading to improved outcomes.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
• Summarize the current landscape for an overall treatment strategy for adult ALL patients.
• Appraise the role of new and emerging therapies and regimens used to treat adult patients with relapsed/refractory ALL.
• Formulate approaches to match adult patients and treatment options for relapsed/refractory ALL based upon individual risk and prognostic criteria.
• Demonstrate pharmacist-driven interventions to reduce the risk of and manage AEs, and drug-drug interactions in patients receiving targeted therapies.
