Integrating New Treatments for HER2+ Early Breast Cancer : Time for a Risk-Adapted Approach is organized by PRIME Oncology and will be held during Oct 16, 2017 - Oct 16, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is designed for oncologists and other healthcare professionals interested in and/or involved in the treatment of breast cancer that wish to understand some of the latest developments in treatments for patients with HER2+ breast cancer.
Course Description :
Enhance your understanding of optimal treatment approaches for HER2+ early breast cancer with Expert Perspectives videos from our Madrid symposium. A variety of therapeutic strategies are covered, including short duration regimens, extended adjuvant therapy, dual HER2 blockade, and patient selection for these strategies. Optimizing the risk-benefit profile of different regimens is also addressed, with information on prevention and management of adverse events. Finally, emerging agents and potential future opportunities provided by new HER2-targeted strategies that address areas of continuing unmet clinical need are covered.

After successful completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
• Evaluate the results of recent clinical trials in HER2+ early breast cancer that explore the evolution of adjuvant treatment strategies
• Select the optimum HER2-targeted strategy and duration of treatment to improve long-term disease endpoints in patients with HER2+ early breast cancer
• Identify supportive care interventions to minimize adverse events with HER2-targeted therapy
• Understand the limitations of health care funding for HER2+ early breast cancer and the need for a risk-adapted strategy
