Statement of Need:
Despite major therapeutic advances in the treatment of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM), frontline management remains highly complex, creating an urgent need for practical, case-based education. While newer anti-CD38–based quadruplet regimens achieve deeper responses and higher measurable residual disease (MRD) negativity rates than standard triplets, clinicians often struggle with regimen selection—particularly for frail, elderly, or high-risk patients where balancing efficacy with tolerability is critical. Furthermore, the evolving role of upfront stem cell transplantation and the practical, real-world application of MRD to guide maintenance therapy and treatment duration present ongoing clinical challenges (NCCN, 2026). To bridge these practice gaps, an expert multidisciplinary panel featuring hematologist-oncologist Dr. Rahul Banerjee, clinical pharmacist Dr. Ashley Chen, and nurse practitioner Dr. Beth Faiman will lead a CME/NCPD/CPE-accredited activity centered on sequential, real-world patient scenarios. By completing this interactive activity, oncology clinicians, pharmacists, and nurses will gain actionable, evidence-based decision frameworks to confidently navigate triplet versus quadruplet therapies, optimize adverse event management, and utilize MRD assessments to deliver highly personalized, high-quality care for diverse NDMM patient populations.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Differentiate triplet and quadruplet regimens for transplant-eligible and transplant-ineligible patients with NDMM based upon efficacy, safety, and patient-specific factors
Apply the latest evidence to individualize frontline therapy selection and drug dosing for elderly, high-risk, and frail patients with NDMM using risk-adapted strategies
Integrate MRD assessment into clinical decision making to optimize treatment duration, maintenance therapy selection, and treatment intensification in patients with NDMM

ACCREDITATION & CREDITS

Jointly Accredited Provider:
In support of improving patient care, i3 Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.0 Medical Knowledge MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Nursing Continuing Professional Development
A maximum of 1.0 ANCC contact hour may be earned by learners who successfully complete this nursing continuing professional development activity. This activity has been designated for 1.0 ANCC contact hours of pharmacology credit for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.

ONCC RECERTIFICATION
The program content has been reviewed by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) and is acceptable for recertification points.

ONCC review is only for designating content to be used for recertification points and is not for NCPD accreditation. NCPD programs must be formally approved for contact hours by an acceptable accreditor/approver of NCPD to be used for recertification by ONCC. If the NCPD provider fails to obtain formal approval to award contact hours by an acceptable accrediting/approval body, no information related to ONCC recertification may be used in relation to the program.
