Target Audience:
This accredited activity has been designed for oncology, health system, managed care and specialty pharmacists.
Goal:
To inform oncology, health-system, managed care and specialty pharmacists, as well as other pharmacists who interact with BC patients, on (1) real world evidence (RWE) and how it may be used to support approval of new drugs or indications (2) approaches to interpreting and analyzing study design and results of real world data (RWD) for possible inclusion in treatment decision making; (3) RWE of CDK 4/6 inhibitors in breast cancer for the development of treatment regimens based on patient specific factors thus leading to improved outcomes.
Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
• Recognize real world evidence (RWE) and how it may be used to support approval of new drugs or indications.
• Identify approaches to interpreting and analyzing study design and results of real world data (RWD) for possible inclusion in treatment decision making.
• Translate RWE of CDK 4/6 inhibitors in breast cancer for the development of treatment regimens based on patient specific factors.
