Session Description:
This webinar will provide an evidence-based review of osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) considerations for surgical patients and include practical approaches for adding OMT to acute surgical and perioperative management.   The presenter will draw on the scientific literature and firsthand experience to illustrate opportunities for provision and study of OMT for the surgical patient population.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of the session, the participate should be able to:
• Describe and summarize the available evidence base for osteopathic manipulative treatment considerations for surgical patients.  
• Create opportunities to provide osteopathic manipulative treatment for surgical patients. 
• Devise plans for integration of osteopathic principles and practice into surgical care and research.
