Target Audience:
This educational program is directed toward medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, and surgical oncologists involved in the treatment and management of cervical cancer. Obstetrician/gynecologists, nurses, physician assistants, fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals with an interest in cervical cancer are also invited to participate.

Activity Overview:
Although cervical cancer is highly treatable and associated with high rates of positive clinical outcomes when detected early enough, many cases are not detected until they have reached an advanced stage. The management of patients with advanced/metastatic disease remains an important clinical challenge. Pursuit of treatment options that may help to improve clinical efficacy and limit treatment-associated adverse events is an active area of investigation, with several options showing promise in recent studies. The understanding of the mechanisms underlying the development of cervical cancer has helped to inform new approaches to its treatment, which may improve outcomes for your patients. Keeping up with these advancements can be a challenging goal for busy clinicians, as can development of a thorough understanding of potential applications of new data from trials evaluating therapeutic approaches for advanced cervical cancer. Through a series of cases, descriptive text, interview video clips, and self-assessment questions, the expert faculty of this online activity address multiple clinical challenges and key topics pertaining to the management of cervical cancer in the era of immunotherapy.
