This presentation is designed for SLPs and OT practitioners seeking to enhance their approach to implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). We will move beyond basic device selection to explore the critical factors influencing successful communication during play, leisure, educational settings, and social engagement. Participants will learn how to identify and overcome common barriers to AAC implementation and gain practical strategies for effective interprofessional collaboration, all while maintaining a patient- and family-centered care model.
