OVERVIEW

The 3rd Annual Jefferson Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Symposium is organized by Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) and will be held on Oct 10, 2025.

Overview:
The 3rd Annual Jefferson Interstitial Lung Disease Conference is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive overview of the latest advances in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of ILD. This educational activity will feature expert-led lectures, interactive case discussions, and evidence-based updates on current and emerging therapies.

Participants will gain insights into the evolving understanding of ILD pathophysiology, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), connective tissue disease-associated ILD, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and other fibrosing lung diseases.

Special emphasis will be placed on diagnostic challenges, multidisciplinary care models, and the role of high-resolution imaging, serologies, and lung biopsy in clinical decision-making. Attendees will also explore updates on pharmacologic therapies, including antifibrotic agents and immunomodulators.

This conference aims to foster knowledge exchange, promote best practices, and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered ILD care across various practice settings.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

  • Examine current diagnostic strategies for interstitial lung disease.
  • Evaluate the role of multidisciplinary collaboration in ILD management.
  • Assess emerging therapies and their impact on patient outcomes.
  • Analyze the role of serological testing in the diagnosis of interstitial lung disease.
