Ross Summer, MD, is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician and an NIH-funded investigator. Dr Summer graduated from medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and completed his internship and medical residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. After completing a 4-year Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship, Dr Summer spent 8 years on faculty at Boston University before moving to Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 2012. Dr Summer is currently a professor of medicine, the Section Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care, and Director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He also maintains an active laboratory and oversees clinical trials related to pulmonary fibrosis.
