Advances in Liver Disease 2025: A Year in Review is organized by Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) and will be held on Dec 06, 2025 at Dorrance H. Hamilton Building, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Overview:
This annual symposium will introduce the latest developments in liver disease as presented by experts in the field of Hepatology.

Liver disease can be a complex issue and patient problems are diverse, necessitating a team approach with differing expertise and skills. Attendees will be able to participate in the interactive panel discussions throughout the day.

Note: This Symposium will occur post AASLD Annual Meeting and bring the highlights of this event to Philadelphia.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

  • Employ current guidelines and treatment strategies for managing viral hepatitis, MASLD, cholestatic and genetic liver diseases.
  • Acquire updates in the field of advanced liver disease, liver cancer and liver transplantation.
  • Review the presentation patterns of liver injury from drugs and herbal and dietary supplements
  • Explain the pathophysiology of hemostatic alterations in cirrhosis and the management approach to vascular disorders of the liver.

In support of improving patient care, Thomas Jefferson University is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians: This educational activity is designated for a maximum of 7.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: This activity awards 7.50 nursing contact hours.

Pharmacists: This knowledge-based continuing education is designated for 7.50 credit contact hours of continuing education credit.

Credits will be uploaded to CPE Monitor within 60 days following the completion of the activity. According to the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses (ABCGN), the approved hours in this activity are considered GI Specific for the purpose of recertification by contact hours through ABCGN.

    CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

    Cancellation Policy

    Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and received in the Office of CPD two weeks prior to the start date of the course. There will be no refunds after this period.* Cancellations notified before the two week time frame will incur a 25% administration fee (with a minimum of $20). Registrants who fail to attend the conference are responsible for the entire fee. All refunds will be processed after the conference. The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone this course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines or travel agencies.
