Richard Kalman MD

Richard S. Kalman, MD, is board-certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology. He specializes in liver disease and transplantation and has a special interest in liver cancer. As the Director of the liver tumor program, Dr. Kalman organizes the weekly liver tumor meeting and spearheads the multidisciplinary liver tumor clinic, which incorporates specialists from Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology, and Surgery. Dr. Kalman is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.

Dr. Kalman received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he was Chief Resident. He furthered his medical training with a fellowship in gastroenterology at Boston Medical Center. Most recently, Dr. Kalman fellowship fellowship-trained at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in transplant hepatology. Dr. Kalman is seeing patients at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and several satellite locations in South Jersey.
