The 7th Annual Stroke Conference presented by UF Health Shands Hospital this year will take place on April 18th, 2020 at the Harrell Medical Education Building in Gainesville, FL.

Description:
This CME program is intended with a mission to enhance the knowledge, competence, and performance of healthcare providers who are engaged to present the care for patients diagnosed with cerebrovascular diseases. The goal of the session is to close the gap amid current data and existing practice in stroke care as well as examine the most recent clinical trials that impact patient care algorithms and practices.

The session mainly focuses on science, technology, and practical applications in order to furnish the attendees with the tools needed to deliver high quality, evidence-based, patient-centered stroke care. Speakers include internationally recognized stroke experts offering specialized topics that cover stroke care across the continuum.

Target Audience:
The session is intended for adult neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro interventionalists, neuroradiologists, interventional radiologists, emergency medicine specialists, primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, rehabilitation specialists, physical, occupational and speech therapists, respiratory therapists, radiology technologists, case managers, social workers, pharmacists and researchers in the field of cerebrovascular function and disease.

Accreditation:
Physician Credit

The University of Florida College of Medicine assigns this live session for a maximum of 5.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™. Physicians can claim the credit commensurate based on the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Credit
UF Health Shands is a CE Provider recognized by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBN# 50-1790). An attendee will be awarded up to 5 contact hours. A participant must attend the entire program in order to receive credit.

Physical Therapy Credit
Suwannee River Area Health Education Center, Inc. is a Florida Board of Nursing and Occupational Therapy, is an approved provider of continuing education. CE Broker Provider ID #50-1922. The session meets the requirements for up to 5.0 contact hours.

Radiography Credit
Up to 4.5 CEU credits will be available for Radiography through the FL DOH pending qualification of presentation and participant attendance.

Occupational Therapy Credit
This session has been sanctioned by the Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA) for 12 contact hours. Sanctioning of this course does not imply endorsement of specific content, products or clinical procedures by FOTA
