Florida Podiatric Medical Association invites you to attend the annual Science & Management Symposium (SAM) taking place January 15 to 19, 2020 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Target audience:
The intended audience of the FPMA Science & Management session is Doctors of Podiatric Medicine and Podiatric Residents.

Accreditation:
SAM 2020 renders 26.5 possible Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH), based on the sessions attended.

Description:
The purpose of  FPMA’s educational symposium is to endure continuing education in podiatric medicine, podiatric surgery, and practice management through workshops and seminars. Our pledge is to elevate the knowledge by contributing each registrant with the educational assistance required to promote care for their patients and be successful in practice by advancing the benefits of scientific advancement in the treatment, prevention, and alleviation of podiatric ailments. 

SAM 2020 also proposes the lecture tracks for X-Ray Assistants and Front/Back Office Assistants.

The theme of SAM 2020 is "From Hindsight to Foresight".

Podiatric Physician Program:
Mandatory CECH courses for Podiatric Physician Florida licensure will be awarded at SAM 2020, including Laws and Rules, Risk Management, Science, Practice Management, and Medical Errors. A new one-hour Human Trafficking course, recently implemented by the Florida Legislature, will also be presented. This is a one-time requirement Florida licensees must complete before January 1, 2021.
