Dr. Mark Lambert is a native of Pensacola, Florida. A lifelong Boy Scout, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at 14. To further his Scouting career, he gained the Order of the Arrow and Medical Explorer. He currently sits on the Eagle Board of Review for the Gulf Coast Council. Dr. Lambert is a graduate of Pensacola Catholic High School and P.A.T.S. (Program for Academically Talented Students).
After college at the University of Alabama, the University of West Florida and Florida State University, he spent 2 years in Dallas, Texas at Baylor Medical Center doing surgical research on a variety of Orthopaedic and Transplant oriented projects. His medical degree was received from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned the Baird Johnson Award and was listed in Who's Who in American Medical Colleges and Universities. Rotations included the Cleveland Clinic, Mt. Sinai Hospital, Case Western Reserve University Hospital, Cook County Hospital, Mass General Hospital, and several VA Medical Centers. His internship was completed at Huntington VA Medical Center which included off-service rotations in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Radiology, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, General Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, Anesthesiology, Pathology, and Plastic Surgery. The residency was completed at St. Mary's Hospital Surgical Residency Program affiliated with Marshall University School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident for 2 years.
Dr. Lambert is Quadruple boarded. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery, Reconstructive Rearfoot & Ankle Surgery, in Podiatric Surgery and Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine and Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds. He holds fellowships from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Professional Wound Care Association.
