Dr. Shannon is a faculty member at Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center's Podiatric Surgical residency program. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Villanova University, and then attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, graduating with honors in 2000. He then completed a four-year residency in podiatric reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center where he served as Chief resident in 2004. In 2004, Dr. Shannon joined Ankle &Foot Medical Centers of the Delaware Valley and also became an attending physician serving the residency program from which he graduated at Penn-Presbyterian.

Dr. Shannon continues to teach foot and ankle surgery to podiatric medical students and residents and maintains clinic and private practices. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Shannon's particular interests include reconstructive and traumatological foot and ankle surgery, comprehensive diabetic wound care, and sports medicine.
