Pain Management Multidisciplinary Workshop

The Pain Management Multidisciplinary Workshop is organized by The University of Sydney - Pain Management Research Institute (PMRI) and will be held during Feb 05 - 15, 2018 at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The target audience for this medical event is for nurses, doctors, dentists, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths, pharmacists and other health professionals with an interest in learning about current views and approaches to the assessment and management of pain. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 48 hours of CPD points.

The workshop sessions have been developed to increase participant knowledge and skills in assessing and managing patients with acute and/or chronic pain conditions.

Conference Description:
A comprehensive overview of all major aspects of pain management, integrating basic science with its clinical application. The content is based on the IASP endorsed Master of Medicine/Science in Medicine (Pain Management) program offered through The University of Sydney.

Week 1: The Problem of Pain
During the first week, participants will be introduced to the extent of the problem and explores pain contributors and assessment.
