This Convocation will be dedicated to highlighting the work and teachings of the mentors in the osteopathic profession. Many of us have either worked with or have been influenced by the mentors and pioneers in our profession.
This Convocation’s lecturers will present the work of the mentors in osteopathic manipulative medicine and related topics that will have applications to the attendees’ medical practice today. Breakout sessions will provide the opportunity to learn the approaches of mentors in our profession, as well as new and different treatment approaches based on their work and treatment style.
The AAO’s primary educational objective is to provide programs that enhance the philosophical foundation, palpatory diagnostic skills and manipulative techniques of AAO members, nonmember DOs, other individuals who are licensed for the unlimited scope of practice of medicine, and those in programs leading to such licensure.
