OVERVIEW
28th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Parasitology is organized by Conventus Congress Management and Marketing GmbH and will be held during Mar 21 - 24, 2018 at Free University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany.
Conference Description :
Research in parasitology continues to be a vivid field of life sciences with many exciting new findings and important challenges. This includes not only basic investigations on the biological processes occurring during the parasite-host encounter, the establishment and reproduction of parasites in various environments, but also applied studies on the treatment and control of parasitic infections. Traditionally, the biannual scientific conference of the DGP offers a platform for a broad spectrum of contemporary parasitological topics and research questions. This will also be the case at the next meeting, which will be held from 21–24 March 2018 in Berlin at the “Henry-Ford-Bau” on the main campus of the Freie Universität Berlin in Dahlem.
In addition to various oral and poster presentation sessions, there will be a range of invited lectures held by eminent scientists such as Prof. Mark Blaxter from Edinburgh, GB and Prof. Peter Hotez from Houston, US. In addition a dedicated One Health symposium on “Emerging vector born zoonotic parasitoses” will be held. The scientific programme will start right after lunch on Wednesday, 21 March and we plan to have the last scientific sessions on Friday afternoon. Furthermore, several satellite workshops will be organized for conference attendees on Saturday, 24 March.
