Vladimir Kartashev MD, PhD

Vladimir Kartashev is Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of Department of Infectious Diseases of Rostov State Medical University.

Vladimir Kartashev graduated Rostov State Medical University in 1974. From 1974 to 1976 he trained at internship and specialized in infectious diseases. He defended PhD thesis (1981) and Doctor of Science thesis (2009). His scientific interest last years is parasitogenic zoonotic diseases.

After the beginning of practical and scientific activity Vladimir Kartashev specialized in field of diagnostics and treatment of infectious diseases. He is world-known expert that repeatedly obtained grants from international organizations, underwent training in universities and the research centers of the USA, Austria, Germany, Japan and Spain. He is well-connected with University of Salamanca (Spain) and University of Cologne (Germany). Vladimir Kartashev is co-author of numerous publications in prestigious foreign scientific magazines, he is put on the list of Science Citation Index. Vladimir Kartashev is well-known lecturer at European congresses on parasitology, he is regularly invited to read lectures at University of Salamanca for last two years.
