Advanced Course on Breast Cancer Surgery is organized by European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and would be held during Sep 28 - 30, 2017 at NH Ambassador Hotel Naples, Napoli, Naples, Italy. The target audience for this medical event basically for surgeons, Oncologists.
Aims of the course:
This highly interactive workshop is at the cutting edge of current concepts of surgical treatment of breast cancer. It will focus on the evidence-based clinical practice and technical aspects of breast cancer surgery within a multidisciplinary approach.
The programme will include state-of-the-art lectures, meet-the-expert type workshops and case discussions aiming at facilitating the interaction between participants and teachers.

• Senior residents (last two years of specialisation with clinical interest in breast cancer)
• Surgical oncologists
• Breast surgeons within 5 years after ending specialisation residency
• Medical and radiation oncologists with 3-5 years of experience in the treatment of breast cancer patients

• Breast imaging and diagnostics, including screening
• Tailored treatment of DCIS and other risk lesions (LCIS, ADH, etc)
• Management of breast cancer in older and younger women
• Management of BRCA gene carriers and high risk women including risk assessment, enhanced screening, risk reducing surgery and chemoprevention
• Breast cancer in pregnancy
• Sentinel node biopsy: technical aspects, intraoperative nodal assessment and localisation techniques
• Treatment options for patients with positive sentinel nodes: role of radiotherapy and risk scoring algorithms. Management of the axilla in the neoadjuvant setting
• Axillary lymph node dissection: controversy, indications and technical aspects i the post Z11 and Amaros era
