Since its foundation in 1980, ESRA brings together anaesthesiologists, physicians and scientists who are engaged or interested in the techniques of regional anaesthesia for surgery, obstetrics, paediatrics and pain control.
As in previous years, the focus of the scientific programme will be on state of the art presentations in this field as well as new insights into basic science, clinical research and therapeutic interventions in the field of regional anaesthesia and pain therapy.
Educational Objectives :
After participating in this educational event, learners should be able to :
• Address individual needs in compliance with their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) plan.
• Discuss developments in all areas of the specialty of anesthesia, and pain management, as well as new insights into basic science, clinical research and therapeutic interventions.
• Assess important specific areas such as orthopedics, obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatric patient management, pharmacology, ambulatory anesthesia, fast-track procedures, acute pain, chronic pain treatment.
• Demonstrate individual expertise in the field through live practice and collaboration among leading Regional Anaesthesia professionals.
• Discuss teaching techniques in cadaver guided regional anesthesia and in models with use of ultrasound.
• Evaluate chronic pain management topics.
