Thomas Fichtner Bendtsen MD, PhD

Thomas Fichtner Bendtsen is MD, Ph.D., research anesthetist at Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark, and honorary professor and head of research at the Center of Clinical Ultrasound at the faculty of health at Aarhus University. He published his Ph.D. thesis about experimental hypergastrinemia in 1999. He is a pioneer of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia in Scandinavia and has worked with anesthesiological ultrasound since 2004. He has a very extensive track record as an invited speaker and workshop supervisor and course convenor in many countries around the world and has published many peer-reviewed papers and textbook chapters about ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. Thomas Fichtner Bendtsen is a peer reviewer for many scientific journals.
