Tania A. Ferguson MD, MAS

Dr. Ferguson is a hip preservation and reconstruction surgeon, internationally known for her surgical expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture surgery. Her primary clinical and academic focus is on the technical treatment of fractures involving the hip, pelvis and acetabulum. She is recognized as a technical expert in hip and acetabular fractures and teaches the intricate skills of this discipline nationally and internationally to learning surgeons.

Dr. Ferguson is also an expert in anterior approach total hip replacement and well as preservative osteotomies of the hip in young patients. She trained under Dr. Joel Matta, and has developed a service of excellence for patients with hip pathology. The anterior approach hip replacement allows patients immediate ambulation without “hip precautions” or restrictions after surgery, and her patients benefit from early return to function and limited concern for hip dislocation. She works closely with anesthesiologists, physical therapists and nurses to streamline the surgical procedure and provide patients an excellent experience around their hip replacement surgery.
