Susan Ann Cornell, BS, PharmD, CDE, FAPhA, FAADE received her bachelor of pharmacy at the University of Illinois, College of Pharmacy, and her Doctor of Pharmacy at Midwestern University. She is the assistant director of experiential education and an assistant professor in the department of pharmacy practice at Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Cornell also is a certified diabetes educator and clinical pharmacy consultant, specializing in community and ambulatory care practice. 

Dr. Cornell has over 18 years of practice in a community pharmacy where she practiced as a clinical pharmacist, diabetes educator, and preceptor, as well as, the coordinator of Dominick’s Pharmacy Diabetes Self-Management Education program which received ADA recognition in December of 2001. Her current clinical practice is at the Access DuPage Community Clinic in Wheaton, Illinois; where she trains and supervises students from the colleges of medicine, health sciences, and pharmacy, as they provide diabetes education classes for underserved patients.
