Scott P. Steinmann MD

Dr. Scott Steinmann serves as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine – Chattanooga. He is also an Emeritus Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic where he was a staff surgeon for over 20 years.

Dr. Steinmann has held various leadership positions in the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a past president of the Minnesota Orthopedic Society. He has been selected as one of Minnesota Monthly Magazine’s top orthopedic surgeons for several years. He has performed several thousand shoulder replacements and rotator cuff repairs. At Mayo Clinic and now at Erlanger Orthopaedic Institute, he continues a practice of primary and complex revision shoulder surgery. He also has a special interest in elbow trauma, elbow replacement, and elbow arthroscopy.
