Sarah Faris is a reconstructive urologist who focuses on male and female incontinence, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, erectile dysfunction, urethral stricture, urethral diverticulum, and fistulas. She is interested in studying the clinical outcomes of reconstructive procedures and identifying best treatment algorithms. She has worked extensively with residents and students during their elective rotations in a clinical capacity and through scholarship and independent research.
Faris co-authored an article, published in Urology, regarding surgical experiences with ureterolysis for retroperitoneal fibrosis, including a comparison of laparoscopic and open surgical approaches, to determine any differences in successful outcomes and convalescence. She was also the sole or lead author of articles published in the Journal of Pediatric Urology and Current Bladder Dysfunction Reports. In addition, she contributed to the authorship of several book chapters, for which publication is pending.
