Sandeep Uppal PhD, FRCS (ORL-HNS)

Dr. Sandeep Uppal, PhD, FRCS (ORL-HNS) completed his undergraduate medical education followed by ENT Residency from the University of Delhi, India. He then completed his Specialist Registrar Training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in the UK. He served a one-year Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship conducted by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and trained in all aspects of Reconstructive and Cosmetic Facial Plastic Surgery in centers of excellence in Europe and USA. He achieved the highest score of all international candidates in the examination conducted by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as part of the certification by The International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Uppal has also served a one-year Fellowship in Advanced Rhinology conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was awarded a PhD by the University of Leeds, UK for identifying the genetic and molecular mechanisms leading to the syndrome Pachydermoperiostosis. Mr Uppal’s research and clinical interests have resulted in 29 publications in peer reviewed international journals as well as presentations at various national and international conferences. He has an active interest in teaching and is a faculty at numerous national and international courses. He is presently working as a Consultant Otolaryngologist with an interest in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
